April Started Making Soap Because She Isn't Artistic.
I'm sure many can relate to that. And, after helping start a successful Youtube channel and keep it afloat, she realized she needed help building her artistic eye.
That's how it started.
What's keeping it going, well, frankly, is you. You continually inspire her to bring fresh, new offerings to Kiowa Soapery. You're even to the point of requesting returns of your favorites to the line up.
And that's a challenge for April, because she doesn't always get it right the second time. That's the artistic part.
It's also the artisan focus of Kiowa Soapery. No two batches will be truly identical. She's not a machine. She's not large enough for the machinery, the partnerships, the equipment, and the staffing needed to ensure every single bar looks like the same one made a week ago, or last month, or last year.
This means you're always going to experience something new with April.
Clever. Unique. Fun!
Our production vision for Kiowa Soapery is small. You may even call it a hobby at April's goal numbers, but the IRS sure doesn't. Every bar is handcrafted with care. End cuts are from every loaf are tested on numerous factors. When we release a new product, it's ready to add value, luxury, and enjoyment to your daily routine.
We have so much ahead to show you!
Every bar is a new challenge. A new experiment. Most businesses look for their target market and cater to it. April is making soap that challenges her to be a better soap artisan with each and every loaf. This means, return often, because at this point, she doesn't stock up for big seasonal releases. You could find something fresh listed every week!
The Realities of a Small Business
From time to time, you may see a banner up, suggesting orders may be delayed. April has two hobbies--competing with her Siberian Husky at dog shows, and crawling her big Jeep over rocks the size of school busses. You may see her post a banner saying she's away at a competition or Jeep event. She promises that your orders made during her absence will be her first priority!
